VERY NICE WORM BLANKET

Here is one of my latest crochet design

I design these crochet pattern for my Mother In Law, she really likes wool.
I used WOOL-EASE worsted waist yarn.
It has the feel, warmth and softness of wool, but it is easy to care, and can be machine wash- and dry. Also it cost only $3.99 per ball. For 100% wool you would have to pay around $ 7.00 per one ball, and care of wool is much more complicated.

Label of the yarn

Hook: F

1) Start with slip knot, then chain 6.
Slip stitch into first chain to form a ring.

2) .  Chain 3, equivalent of a double crochet stitch

3). Make 2 double crochet into the center of the ring. Chain 3, then make 3 double crochet into the center of the ring.
*3 double crochet, chain 3, 3 double crochet*.
Do this 2 more times, for a total of 4 groups of 3 double crochet. Slip stitch into the top of chain of three to finish the round.

4) Add a new color before you start next row. Simply start crocheting with a new color. (I always tie two yarns together, and then hide the knot by pulling it in, and sewing. In this case the blanket will never come apart).

5. Start next row with a slip stitch. Insert your hook on the top of the second double crochet of the previous row.

Chain 3, 2 double crochet in the spot, chain three, 3 double crochet in the same spot.
Chain 1, and a slip stitch to the corner of the previous row.
Chain 1, 3 double crochet, chain 3, 3 double crochet, chain 1, and a slip stitch in the next corner of previous row. Do this 2 more times, for a total of 4 groups of 3 double crochet, chain 3, and 3 double crochet.

How to Join Crochet Squares Together

There are quite few different ways to join crocheted squares together. To crochet, or sew the squares, you'll most likely want to use a yarn/thread color that matches blanket squares. Sewing them seems to be the easiest way, but  you blanket may look bulky, and stiff. It is also very time consuming. Before you even consider sewing, just check how easy it is to connect squares together without using needle. Just check this video.
